Our Mission

At Dawlish Action for Youth (D.A.Y) our mission is to support our young people for a better future.

 

Dawlish Action for Youth is a registered charity that provides leisure and recreational facilities in an informal setting for young people living, staying or working within Dawlish and its surrounding areas.

 

Dawlish Action for Youth is run by a board of trustees who are all volunteers. The board of trustees ensure that the youth centre is running smoothly and following the correct laws and legislations in place by the government and make the decisions for the youth centre to ensure its survival.

 

The youth centre also has a lead youth worker, they make sure the running of the sessions go to plan as well as planning activities and making sure that all staff and volunteers are trained and ready to help in our sessions.

 

 

our sessions

We have 3 sessions a week each aimed at different young people.

These are:

 

Wednesday - senior session - aimed at young people aged 11-16

 

Thursday - No limits session - aimed at young people & 18+

with additional needs

 

Friday - Junior Session - Aimed at young people aged 8-11

 

In these sessions, we have a wide range of activities from football tournaments, arts and crafts to activities in our music studio. All our attendees have access to our pool tables, air hockey table, table tennis, sports hall, disco room and our arts and crafts equipment.

We also have a tuck shop where attendees can purchase drinks and sweets as well as providing hot food for purchase.

Opening hours - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 5pm-9pm
